The 2016 7 Series, the latest version of BMW’s flagship luxury sedan, sets a new standard for in-vehicle technology.
The iDrive 5.0 system with standard Gesture Control will premiere in the new 7 Series. Thanks to a new system of motion sensors in the vehicle’s center console, the driver will be able to use hand motions to do a plethora of programmable features. Turning your finger clockwise or counterclockwise will change the volume settings of the in-car audio, and waving at the display monitor will allow you to accept a phone call.
But it wouldn’t be a 7 Series without the bulk of the luxury loaded in the backseat. Building on the staples of modern luxury cars, the 2016 BMW 7 Series will be loaded with useful features for those being driven in the back. Available Nappa leather seats recline and even offer massage functionality as part of the Luxury Rear Seating Package. Smartphone users will be pleasantly surprised by the Wi-Fi hotspot located in the cabin, and wireless charging capabilities will accommodate certain phone models.
The driving experience will continue to be improved in the 2016 BMW 7 Series with the optional Active Driving Assistant Package, offering a variety of other driver assistance technologies including Traffic Jam assistant and Active Lane keeping assistant to keep the vehicle in its lane. The package also includes Active Blind Spot Detection and Pedestrian Warning with light city braking.
Everything you’ve loved about the 7 Series is better than ever in the 2016 update: luxury, safety and performance. Speed receives no compromise on the new model despite the new technology, with an available turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 capable of accelerating from stop to 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds. BMW of Freehold can’t wait to feature the all-new 7 Series in our showrooms starting in the fall. Contact us today to get in the know about the upcoming model.
