Music lovers and podcast enthusiasts rejoice: iHeartRadio is now available in BMW vehicles. The BMW Group recently announced that the free music streaming and radio app is now available to drivers via the BMW ConnectedDrive service.
Drivers with iOS versions of the iHeartRadio for Auto app can seamlessly integrate the app’s functions into the in-car Control Display. This provides access to iHeartRadio’s large network of thousands of live radio stations from across the country, as well as over 20 million songs to curate your own custom stations. These live radio stations can also be saved to a special Favorites section within the app. In addition to offering a healthy helping of news and entertainment podcasts, the app also includes a “For You” feature that offers listening recommendations based on users’ music preferences.
The iHeartRadio for Auto app comes with the BMW stamp of approval for safe in-car use. When a smartphone is connected via a USB socket or snap-in adapter and the app is launched, drivers will have control courtesy of the vehicle’s iDrive Controller, as well as the Control Display.
